JOINT RESOLUTION LACEY RESOLUTION 687
A JOINT RESOLUTION OF THE CITIES OF LACEY AND YELM FORMALIZING A
SISTER CITY PARTNERSHIP.
WHEREAS, the Mayors of each city and town within Thurston
County have mutually agreed to establish Sister City partnerships;
and
WHEREAS, the establishment of such partnerships between
jurisdictions can be an effective means to share technical
expertise, training opportunities and support; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lacey and the City of Yelm desire to
formally acknowledge a Sister City relationship between them; and
WHEREAS, the staff and elected officials of both communities
are encouraged to communicate ideas, share information and offer
mutual support through Sister City participation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LACEY AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YELM, that they intend
to act as Sister Cities from this day forward.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LACEY AND THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YELM on the date set forth opposite the
signature of each of their respective Mayors.
