ADOPTION OF CONNECTION FEES,
GROVE ROAD WATER EXTENSION
A RESOLUTION providing for the recapture in the form
of connection fees of the expenses incurred by the Town
of Yelm in the installation of that certain water line
located on Grove Road, between 103rd SE and S.R. 507,
providing a per-front-foot rate for the calculation of
such connection fees, and declaring an effective date.
WHEREAS, at the behest of certain real property owners
of properties abutting Grove Road, without the Town of Yelm,
the Town has engineered and installed a water main exten-
sion along Grove Road and between 103rd SE and S.R. 507; and
WHEREAS the said requesting property owners have paid
to the Town of Yelm an amount deemed by the Town Council to
be their pro-rata portion, respectively, of the cost of
such installation; and
WHEREAS, it is anticipated that other and further prop-
erties abutting the said line may hereafter, and at the elec-
tion of their owners, be connected to the said water line for
their domestic or commercial water supplies; and
WHEREAS, the unreimbursed cost of the said water main to
the Town of Yelm, calculated on a per front foot basis of
potentially benefited property has been calculated to be, and
is, $5.23;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that for each and every new
connection to the said water line, according to the records
of such line and the property benefited thereby now in the
possession of the Water Department of the Town of Yelm, which
records are by this reference incorporated as though here fully
set forth, there shall be charged a connection fee of $5.23
per front foot of the abutting real property served. Such
charge shall be in addition to any other connection fees which
may otherwise be provided for under law. Nothing herein shall
be construed to preclude future late comer agreements into
which all relevant parties may mutually wish to enter, pursuant
to RCW 35.91.020, YMC 13.14.180, and to any other applicable
law.
