RESOLUTION NO. 484
A RESOLUTION OF THE YELM CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING THE
APPROVAL OF THE .AGREEMENT WITH THE WASHINGTON
STATE DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL ADMINISTRATION FOR THE
INTERGOVERNMENTAL PURCHASHING AGREEMENT WITH THE
CITY OF YELM.
WHEREAS, the City of Yelm has the authority to enter into an
Intergovernmental Purchasing Agreement with the Office of State Procurement
which allows Yelm to purchase goods and services using Washington State
Contracts (RCW 39.34) and;
WHEREAS, this agreement does not limit the City of Yelm's ability to
purchase items independently and;
WHEREAS, it does give the City of Yelm the benefit of State negotiated
purchase prices which are frequently less expensive and;
WHEREAS, it saves the cost of going to bid for items already negotiated
by the State;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Yelm does hereby
resolve to enter into this Intergovernmental Purchasing Agreement with the
Washington State Department of General Administration.
