RESOLUTION NO. 490
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF YELM AMENDING Resolution No. 426 (5/02)
AND THE RELATED FEES AND LICENSING OF ANIMALS IN THE CITY OF
YELM.
WHEREAS, Yelm Municipal Code Chapter 6.08 Animal Regulations was enacted for the
purpose of regulating the keeping of dogs and other animals within the city; and
WHEREAS, YMC Chapter 6 authorizes setting Animal Control related fees and charges
by resolution of the Yelm City Council; and
WHEREAS, fees, charges and penalties collected are budgeted to assist in defraying the
expense of enforcing Animal Control Regulations,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Yelm that
commencing Jan. 1, 2009 the maximum fees/charges for Animal services be applied as
follows:
Fees/Charges per pet YMC 6.08.030 (I)
Dog license Free One time registration/license issuance per dog
$500 Annual registration for dangerous dog
Impound fee $35 First day, or any portion of first day
$15 Daily, second through fifth day
Adoption fee $55 Per dog, includes free license
Euthanasia fee $45 Per dog, fee incurred with voluntary release
Transport fee YMC 6.04.050
$100.00 Transportation fee for impounding livestock
