475 Fire Impact Fee Capital Facilities Plan City of Yelm
Resoiution No. 475
A RESOLUTIUN endorsing the 2007-2011 Capital Facilities Plan adopted by the Yelm Fire
District (SE Thurston Fire/EMS) and establishing an updated Fire Impact Fee
WHEREAS, Section 15.40.020 (B)(6) Yelm Municipal Code establishes a impact fee
related to fire protection services; and
WHEREAS, the fee is calculated based on the most current version of the Capital
Facilties Plan adopted by the Yelm Fire District (SE Thurston Fire/EMS) and endorsed by
resolution of the Yelm City Council; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the Yelm Fire District adopted an update to
the Districts Capital Facilities Plan for the years 2Q07 to 2011, and
WNEREAS, the Fire Commissioners also adopted an updated Impact Fee Rate Study
for Fire Protection Facilities which establishes an impact fee of $0.32 per square foot of
development for all new development within the City of Yelm, and
WHEREAS, the City of Yelm desires to endorse the Captial Facilities Plan and Impact
Fee Study pursuant to Sectian 15.40.020 (B)(6) YMC;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YELM, WASHINGTON DO
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
1. The 2007-2011 Capitat Facilties Plan adopted by the Yelm Fire District (SE Thurston
Fire/EMS) is hereby endorsed by the City of Yelm.
2. The Fire lmpact Fee pursuant to Section 15.40.020 (B)(6) YMC is established at a rate
of $0.32 per square foot of development for all new development in the City of Yelm.
3. This Resolution supercedes the fire impact fee established by the Council via Resolution
Number 457 adopted on October 12, 2005.
