869 Executive Expense CITY OF YELM
ORDINANCE NO. 869
AN ORDINANCE amending the City of Yelm 2007 Budget as adopted by
Ordinance No. 864 (12/06), by increasing the Executive Department budget
appropriation and decreasing the Capital Reserve and declaring an effective date.
WHEREAS, YMC Chapter 2.04.020 A. provides for reimbursement of travel costs for
elected officials while conducting official business; and
WHEREAS, YMC Chapter 2.04.020 B. provides a stipend of $35.00 per meeting for
elected officials beginning with the ninth meeting per month; and
WHEREAS, YMC Chapter 2.04.020 C. provides for reimbursement of ineal/lodging while
representing the City in an official capacity; and
WHEREAS, the 2007 appropriation for Executive Department Travel and Training
expenses is expected to exceed the current years budgeted amount;
NOW, THEREFORE, The City Council of the City of Yelm do ordain as follows:
Section 1. The Executive Department 2007 Annual Budget Appropriation shall be amended
by increasing the appropriation in the amount of $15,000.

Section 2. To maintain a balanced budget, the Current Fund Capital Reserve Appropriation
is reduced by $15,000.

Section 3. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall take effect five days after passage,
approval, and publication.
Section 4. Ratify and Confirmation Clause. Any action taken pursuant to this ordinance but
prior to the effective date is hereby rati~ed and confirmed.
Adopted by the Yelm City Council at a regular meeting thereof this 10th day of April, 2007.
