875 Longmire Park Budget CITY OF YELM
ORDINANCE NO. 875
AN ORDINANCE amending the City of Yelm 2007 Budget as adopted by
Ordinance No. 864 (12l06), increasing the Longmire Park Fund budget by
appropriating beginning cash and transferring from the Community Development
Block Grant Fund, and declaring an effective date.
WHEREAS, the Longmire Park Fund needs additional appropriations to complete the
remaining park construction and remain in a positive cash flow position; and
WHEREAS, the Longmire Park Fund had $103,300 ending cash as of 12/31/2006, of
which $102,800 was not appropriated in the 2007 budget but is available to be appropriated; and
WHEREAS, the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG} Fund has money
available for capital projects, and also had ending cash as of 12/31/2006 available that was not
appropriated in 2007 but is available to be appropriated; and
WHEREAS, Longmire Park construction is CDBG eligible and is a suitable expenditure
for CDBG resources;
NOW, THEREFORE, The City Council of the City of Yelm do ordain as foilows:
Section 1. The Longmire Park Fund 2007 Annual Budget Appropriation shall be amended by
increasing the appropriation in the amount of $152,800. This shall be achieved
by appropriating an additional $50,000 transfer from CDBG and appropriating
$102,800 beginning cash.

Section 2. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall take effect five days after passage,
approval, and publication.
Section 3. Ratify and Confirmation Clause. Any action taken pursuant to this ordinance but
prior to the effective date is hereby ratified and confirmed.
Adopted by the Yelm City Council at a regular meeting thereof this 12th day of Jun, 2007.
