593 Water Service Rates CITY OF YELM
ORDINANCE NO. 593
AN ORDINANCE setting new monthly service rates for water
customers and repealing and replacing Ordinance No. 548
(2/95) and Municipal Code Section 13.04.025.
WHEREAS, the Water Department is required by statute to be self-supporting;
and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to periodically review and adjust charges necessary to
provide and maintain the municipal water system; and
WHEREAS, a duly advertised public notice has been held to consider this rate
increase;
NOW, THEREFORE, the city council of the City of Yelm do ordain as follows:
Section 1. Repealer. The following rate chart from Ordinance 548, Section 1, and
Municipal Code section 13.04.025 is hereby repealed,

Section 2. Effective Date. This ordinance will take effect five days after the date of
its publication.
Section 3. Saving Clause. Ordinance 548 which is repealed by this ordinance, shall
remain in force and effect until the effective date of this ordinance.
Section 4. Severability. If any section, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause, or
phrase of this ordinance is declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, such
decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance.
Passed by the Yelm City Council at a regular meeting thereof this 8th day of Janua ,
