AN ORDINANCE amending the City of Yelm Employee Salary Schedule
for the calendar year 1997, City of Yelm Ordinance No. 558, Section 2,
Appendix II.
WHEREAS, City Council has authorized an in lieu of payment of $100 per
month for employees wishing to withdraw from City sponsored medical insurance; and
WHEREAS, the City's current insurance carrier is in agreement with this practice,
providing that no fewer seventy-five percent (75%) of City employees remain enrolled
in the medical plan;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YELM,
WASHINGTON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City of Yelm Employee Salary Schedule for the calendar year 1997
Appendix II annexed to Ordinance No. 558 and incorporated therein by reference, be and
the same is amended by the addition of a $100 per month grant in lieu of medical
insurance for that period of time for which the listed employee foregoes inclusion in the
City's medical insurance plan.

SECTION 2. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force on the 9th
