630 Amend Budget Salary CITY OF YELM ORDINANCE N0.630 AN ORDINANCE amending the 1998 City of Yelm Budget, Ordinance No. 610, Appendix II, by temporarily increasing the pay for the Public Works Superintendent while acting in the capacity of building inspector. WHEREAS, the services of a building inspector are necessary to provide for public health and safety; and WHEREAS, the Public Works Superintendent is qualified to perform the duties of building inspector; and WHEREAS, the Public Works Superintendent performed these duties in 1997 when the position was vacant and is willing to provide these services again until the current vacancy is filled; and WHEREAS, it is the City Council's intent to compensate the Public Works Superintendent for this increase in responsibility and duties; and WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes and appreciates the willingness of staff members to perform beyond the required level and to act in the best interests of the City; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Yelm, Washington does hereby resolve that: Section 1. The Public Works Superintendent will receive an additional amount of $300 per month, for the months of August and September of 1998. as compensation for + additional duties as building inspector. Section 2. Any additional full months will be compensated at $200 per month. Section 3. The full amount paid for performing the duties of building inspector shall be paid from the Building Department Budget salary line in the Current Fund. Section 4.
