923 Repeal Biennial ProcessCITY OF YELM
ORDINANCE NO. 923
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF YELM REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 892
ADOPTED JUNE 24, 2008 THAT ESTABLISHED 2009-2010 AS THE FIRST
BIENNIAL BUDGET PROCESS.
WHEREAS, by RCW, Chapter 35A.34.040, the State Legislature allows code cities to
repeal ordinances that established atwo-year fiscal biennium budget; and
WHEREAS, a biennial budget must end on an even numbered year and begin with an
odd numbered year; and
WHEREAS, the City of Yelm elected to return to a fiscal year budget process,
NOW, THEREFORE, The City Council of the City of Yelm do ordain as follows:
Section 1. Revert to a fiscal year budget and develop the 2011 budget based on the required
compliance with RCW 35A.33 in developing and adopting the budget for the first
fiscal year following repeal of the ordinance.
Section .2 Effective Date. This Ordinance shall take effect at the conclusion of the fiscal
biennium budget, December 31, 2010.
Adopted by the Yelm C~'Council at a regular meeting thereof this 13T" day of July, 2010.
