AN ORDINANCE relating to the operation of the municipal
water system of the Town of Yelm, re-
pealing Ordinance No. 15l~, amending
Section ~ of Ordinance No. 108, and
declaring an emergency.
BE IT ORDAINID BY THE COUN(ZL (-F ':IiF TOWN OF YELM A5 FOLLOWS
Section 1. Ordinance No. 15l~ is hereby repealed.
Section 2. Section !: of Ordinance No. 108 is hereby amended to
read as follows:
"Section !t. Said front footage charge shall be paid at the
time of the connection to such water main or, if the owner
shall so elect, said front footage charge may be paid in
monthly installments over a period nit exceediag tYiirtjr-
six (36) months pursuant tc a contract with the Taan
providing for payment of said charge together with interest
thereon at the rate of six percent (6~) per annum in equal
monthly installments over the period selected, with the
first such payment being due at the time of connection.
In the event said connection charge is not paid pursuant to
the contract therefor, the Town shall have the right to dis-~
connect such service connection."
Section 3. This ordinance is necessary for the preservation
of the public peace, health and safety, and shall take effect immediately upon
its passage and publication.
