Non-Entity Sponsorship
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF YELM SPONSORING THE
REGIONAL FIRE AUTHORITY'S REQUEST TO JOIN THE
ASSOCIATION OF WASHINGTON CITIES EMPLOYEE BENEFIT
TRUST.
WHEREAS, the City of Yelm is a member of the Regional Fire Authority
which was created by an inter-local cooperation agreement as authorized
by RCW 39.34 and;
WHEREAS, the Regional Fire Authority will provide Emergency services
including fire, emergency medical, emergency 911 service and other for
the City of Yelm as previously contracted with the Fire District; and
WHEREAS, the Regional Fire Authority would like to participate in the
Association of Washington Cities (AWC) Employee Benefit Trust benefits
program as aquasi-municipal entity; and
WHEREAS, Association of Washington Cities (AWC) Employee Benefit
Trust requires that a city member of the Association of Washington Cities
Employee Benefit Trust sponsor anon-city entity's request before the non-
city entity can participate in the Association of Washington Cities
Employee Benefit Trust benefit programs
NOW, THEREFORE, the City of Yelm, with this resolution, sponsors the
Regional Fire Authority of Thurston County request for application to join
the AWC Employee Benefit Trust as a non-city entity and requests that the
RFA be considered for membership into the AWC Employee Benefit Trust.
