Resolution No. 518
A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMITS WITHIN THE CITY OF YELM
PURSUANT TO SECTION 10.16.020 YELM MUNICIPAL CODE
WHEREAS, the Yelm Municipal Code at Section 10.16.020 establishes a
standard speed limit within the City limits at twenty five (25) miles per hour; and
WHEREAS, Section 10.16.020 YMC also indicates that the City Council may
establish different speed limits by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the Yelm Transportation Committee has reviewed the City Street
system and recommend that the speed limit on certain streets be thirty five (35) miles
per hour; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BY IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Yelm,
Washington that the speed limits on the following City Streets shall be:
Thirty five (35) miles per hour, and posted as such:
Killion Road -from its intersection with Yelm Avenue (SR 510) to its intersection
with the Yelm Loop (SR 510 Alternate).
Tahoma Boulevard -from its intersection with Yelm Avenue (SR 510) to its
southern terminus.
Yelm Avenue West (SR 510) -from the western city limits to its intersection with
Cullens Road and Berry Valley Road.
Yelm Avenue East -from milepost 29.23 to the eastern city limits.
Forty five (40) miles per hour, and posted as such:
First Street South (SR 507) -from its intersection with Mill Pond Road to the City
Limits
