671 Amend Chapter 10.26 Vehicle StorageCITY OF YELM
ORDINANCE NO. 671
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF YELM AMENDING ORDINANCE NO.
646 (12/98) AND YELM MUNICIPAL CODE CHAPTER 10.26 BY
CHANGING THE DAILY ADMINISTRATIVE FEE CHARGED FOR
VEHICLE STORAGE AND REPLACING THE CHARGE WITH A FLAT
FEE AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, municipalities have been provided under RCW 46.30.342 with provisions to
impound vehicles of drivers driving with a suspended or revoked license; and
WHEREAS, the mandated policy to manage the redemption of vehicles impounded under
RCW 46.30.342 was set forth in Ordinance No. 646 and adopted by the Yelm City Council on
December 9, 1999; and
WHEREAS, cost for services has been monitored and evaluated by the Yelm Police
Department;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Yelm, Washington does ordain:
Section 1. Yelm Municipal Code Section 10.26.040 ADMINISTRATIVE FEE
(STORAGE) is hereby amended by replacement with underlined text:
A storage fee of Eight T'^"""^ ($9.00) per- day Fifty dollars ($50.00) shall be levied upon
each vehicle redeemed under the specifications of YMC Section 10.26.020.
Section 2. Effective Date: This ordinance shall become effective on and after September 8,
1999.
