675 Amend Building CodesCITY OF YELM
ORDINANCE NO. 675
AN ORDINANCE of the City of Yelm modifying the Yelm Municipal Code
(YMC) to reflect the most recent 1997 editions of City Building Codes. YMC
Chapter 15.04 by adopting the Uniform Fire Code Standard, published by the
Western Fire Chiefs Association; Chapter 15.08 by adopting Volume 1 and 2 of
the Uniform Building Code, published by the International Conference of
Building Officials; Chapter 15.12 by adopting the Uniform Mechanical Code,
and Chapter 15.16 by adopting the Uniform Plumbing Code, published by the
International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials; and declaring
an effective date.
SECTION 1. Changes
To accomplish the update the following sections of the Yelm Municipal Code shall be revised to
read as follows:
CHAPTER 15.04 FIRE CODE
Section 15.04.010 Adoption.
"Uniform Fire Code, Volume 1, 4494 -1997 Edition"
"Uniform Fire Code Standard, Volume 2, 4494- 1997 Edition"
And all other occurrences
Section 15.04.020 Definitions.

Section 15.04.030 Administration and enforcement.
The Uniform Fire Code and Uniform Fire code Standards adopted by Section

SECTION 2. These changes supercede all prior ordinances concerning the adoption of the
referred codes.
SECTION 3. If any section, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause, or phrase of this
ordinance is declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, such decision
shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance.
