341 Public Safety Seat Belts1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 TOWN OF YELM ORDINANCE No. 341 AN ORDINANCE relating to the public health and safety; requiring the use of seat belts while operating motor vehi- cles within the Town; adopting the provisions of RCW 46.61. 688 by reference; adding a new section to Chapter 10.04, Yelm Municipal Cose; declaring an emergency and that the ordinance take immediate effect. BE IT ORDAINED AND ESTABLISHED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF YELM, THURSTON COUNTY, STATE OF WASHINGTON, as follows: Section 1. Chapter 10.04, Yelm Municipal Code, shall be and hereby is amended by the addition of a new section thereto, which shall be codified therein, to read as follows: "Safety belts, use requirea-- Penalties-- Exemptions. Adoption of RCW Section by reference. the - provisions of RCW 46.61.688, as now or hereafter amended, are hereby adopted by reference as a part of this chapter in all respects as though such section were set forth herein in full." Section 2. Severability. If any provision of this Ordinance or its application to any person or circumstances is held invalid, the remainder of the ordinance or the application of the provision to other persons or circumstances is not affected. Section 3. Emergency declared; effective immediately. This ordinance is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, and safety, and shall take effect immediately upon its passage, approval, and publication.
