ORDINANCE NO. P
AN ORDINANCE fixing the compensation to be paid
to members of the Yelm Town Council for services
rendered in such capacity and amending Town of
Yelm Ordinance No. 247 and Section 2.04.040 of
the Yelm Municipal Code.
WHEREAS, the Town Council has heretofore established
compensation to be paid to its members, and the Town Council
deems it necessary and in the best interest of the citizens
of the Town to increase such compensation in order to
promote responsible participation in the legislative activi-
ties of the Town, and in recognition of the demands on the
citizens of the Town who do so participate as council
members, NOW, THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF YELM, THURSTON
COUNTY, WASHINGTON, as follows:
Section 1. Section 2 of Town of Yelm Ordinance No. 247
and Section 04.040 of the Yelm Municipal Code be, and the
same are hereby amended to read as follows:
"Each member of the Town Council shall be
paid the sum of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) each
month for services rendered in such capacity."
Section 2. This Ordinance and the rates of compensa-
tion fixed herein shall take effect January 1, 1986.
