YELM CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING
STUDY SESSION MINUTES
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 23, 2004
4:30 P.M., PUBLIC WORKS FACILITY
1. Mayor Rivas called the meeting to order at 4:35 PM
2. Roll Call
Present: Mayor Adam Rivas, Ron Harding, Don Miller
Excused: Joe Baker, Bob Isom, Pat Fetterly
Staff Present: Shelly Badger, Grant Beck, Stephanie Conners
3. Agenda Approval
No action was taken on this item.
4. Presentations
a. Community Development Department Activity Report. Grant Beck presented an
overview of the report generated by the new permit tracking system and explained that
this report would be modified to be more useful to the Council and general public after the
move back to City Hall.
b. Six Year Transportation Improvement Program. Grant Beck, Shelly Badger, Stephanie
Conners, and Councilman Harding updated the Council on the six year transportation
improvement program as reviewed and recommended by the Yelm Transportation
Committee. Each project was reviewed and its priority explained. This year is the first
that the Yelm Transportation Committee reviewed the STIP and the process appears to
work very well. The Committee recommends that the City apply for grant funding for
three projects this fiscal year.
