RESOLUTION NO. 543
A RESOLUTION AMENDING YELM PERSONNEL POLICIES,
SECTION 2.02.070 LISTING EXEMPT EMPLOYEES OF THE
CITY TO INCLUDE THE PROGRAM/PROJECT MANAGER.
WHEREAS, each job position is placed into one of the City's classifications; and
WHEREAS, growth in work load, projects and programs brought forward the
need to dedicate someone to meet mandated state and federal government deadlines,
and to manage, organize and implement projects and programs; and
WHEREAS, the job position of Program/Project Manager is responsible for
initiating and implementing all aspects of the work assigned; and
WHEREAS, the Program/Project Manager works independently, with discretion
and has the authority to make decisions in matters of significance; and
WHEREAS, the job description fits the Department of Labor Fair Labor
Standards Act's four criteria under the Administrative Exemption for exempt status
classification;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL TO AMEND THE
PERSONNEL POLICIES SECTION 2.02.070:
Section 2.02.070. The exempt employees of the City are the City Administrator,
City Clerk, Chief of Police, City Attorney, Court Administrator,
Community Development Director, Public Works Director, the
Municipal Judge and the Program/Prosect Manager.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF YELM, WASHINGTON, this
23rd day of July, 2013.
