RESOLUTION NO. 544
ADOPTING THE 2013 GENERAL SEWER PLAN
WHEREAS, the updated General Sewer Plan is prepared in accordance with Washington State
Administrative Code, Chapter 173-240; and
WHEREAS, the City had previously adopted the 1994 General Sewer Plan; and
WHEREAS, in 2011 the City began working on an update of the 1994 General Sewer Plan; and
WHEREAS, the updated General Sewer Plan has been completed and submitted to the Washington State
Department of Ecology for approval; and
WHEREAS, the Washington State Department of Ecology approved the plan on August 22, 2013; and
WHEREAS, the General Sewer Plan identifies the infrastructure improvements needed to provide
consistent, reliable, sewer service to existing and new customers within a 10 year planning horizon; and
WHEREAS, the updated General Sewer Plan also includes a financial analysis and rate recommendation
which supports existing debt, operation and maintenance of the general sewer system including new
capital projects;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Yelm that the 2013 General
Sewer Plan is hereby adopted.
