A RESOLUTION endorsing the 2006-2010 Capital Facilities Plan adopted by the Yelm Fire
District (SE Thurston Fire/EMS)
WHEREAS, Section 15.40.020 (B)(6) Yelm Municipal Code establishes a impact fee
related to fire protection services; and
WHEREAS, the fee is calculated based on the most current version of the Capital
Facilities Plan adopted by the Yelm Fire District (SE Thurston Fire/EMS) and endorsed by
resolution of the Yelm City Council; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the Yelm Fire District adopted a Capital
Facilities Plan for the years 2006 to 2010 at their regular meeting of September 9, 2005, and
WHEREAS, the Fire Commissioners also adopted at the same meeting an Impact Fee
Rate Study for Fire Protection Facilities which establishes an impact fee of $0.216 per square
foot of development for all new development within the City of Yelm, and
WHEREAS, the City of Yelm desires to endorse the Capital Facilities Plan and Impact
Fee Study pursuant to Section 15.40.020 (B)(6) YMC;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YELM, WASHINGTON DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
1. The 2006-2010 Capital Facilities Plan adopted by the Yelm Fire District (SE Thurston
Fire/EMS) is hereby endorsed by the City of Yelm.
2. The Fire Impact Fee pursuant to Section 15.40.020 (B)(6) YMC is established at a rate
of $0.216 per square foot of development for all new development in the City of Yelm.
