MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL BUDGET WORK SESSION
OCTOBER 24, 2000, 4:00 P.M., COUNCIL CHAMBERS, YELM CITY HALL
Present: Mayor Wolf, Glen Cunningham, Adam Rivas, John Thompson, Bob Isom and Don Miller.
Staff: Shelly Badger, Agnes Bennick, and Janine Schnepf
Agenda; Salary Review for Yelm City employees.
Review salary, wages and job descriptions to bring them in line with other cities in the same population
category. Formula based on population and salary ranges of 10 lowest population and 10 lowest salary
averaged for starting.
Some of the salary steps for positions were on target, most required a moderate adjustment.
Agreed to add $35 per month to Prosecuting Attorney and $50 per month to Judge.
All funds balanced with salary changes.
Medical insurance remained at $325.
Discussion concerned: Employees that are close to the top step.
Shelly Badger, Agnes Bennick and Janine Schnepf left the meeting while remaining reviewed City
Administrator salary.
Adjourn: 6:05 p.m.
