09-07-16 SpecialYELM CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING
TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 7, 2016 MINUTES
1. Mayor Foster called the meeting to order at 1:30 pm and explained the agenda
process.
2. Roll Call Present: Molly Carmody, Bob Isom, Tad Stillwell, Tracey Wood, Joe
DePinto and Russ Hendrickson.
3. Agenda Approval
16-101 MOTION BY BOB ISOM TO APPROVE THE AGENDA AS PRESENTED.
SECONDED BY RUSS HENDRICKSON. MOTION CARRIED.
a. Mayor Foster explained that several key members of the community have been
invited to attend the interview process with the candidates and are invited to
attend the executive session to discuss the qualifications for the City
Administrator.
At 1:34pm, Mayor Foster announced that Council would go into a 30 minute
Executive Session to evaluate the qualifications for the appointment to City
Administrator (RCW 42.30110(g))
At 2:08pm, Mayor Foster reconvened the meeting.
b. At 2:09pm Mayor Foster announced that Council would go into a 30 minute
Executive Session to evaluate the qualifications for the appointment to City
Council Position #1 for unexpired term (RCW 42.30.110 (h))
At 2:39pm, Mayor Foster reconvened the meeting.

6. Mayor and Council Initiatives - no committee reports
Mayor Foster thanked the Council for taking time away from their busy schedules
to come together to discuss the candidates for City Administrator and Council
Position No. 1 and looks forward to seeing everyone at the regular meeting on
September 13, 2016 and the Retreat on September 17, 2016.
