426 ANIMAL CONTROL FEES
CITY OF YELM
RESOLUTION NO. 426
WHEREAS, Yelm Municipal Code Chapter 6.08 Animal Regulations, was
enacted for the purpose of regulating the keeping of dogs, cats and other pet animals
within the City; and
WHEREAS, YMC Chapters 6.04.050 and 6.08.030 Definitions, Subsection I
"Fees/Charges" authorizes setting Animal Control related fees and charges by
resolution of the Yelm City Council; and
WHEREAS, fees, charges and penalties collected are budgeted to assist in
defraying the expense of enforcing Animal Control Regulations;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Yelm
that commencing May 8, 2002, the maximum fees/charges for Animal Control services
shall be applied as follows:
FEES/CHARGES YMC 6.08.030 "I"
Licensing Fees $ 7.00 Per Year Subsequent calendar year fee, per pet with
proof of neuter/spay procedure.
$ 5.00 First Year Per pet animal with proof of recent neuter/spay
procedure.
$20.00 Per Year Per pet animal per calendar year if proof of
neuter/spay procedure is not provided.
$10.00 Lifetime Senior citizen (65 or over), per pet animal with
proof of neuter/spay procedure.
$500.00 Per Year Annual Registration for dangerous dog.
Impound Fees $35.00 First Day Per pet, per day for the first day, or any portion
of the first day the pet is impounded.
$15.00 Daily Fee Per pet, per day for the second through the fifth
day, or for any portion of the second through
the fifth day.
Adoption Fees $55.00 Dogs Per animal, fee includes pet identification
chipping. licensing is required.
$45.00 Cats Per animal, fee includes pet identification
(micro) chipping.
Identification $10.00 Each Per animal fee for pet identification (micro)
Fees chipping services.
Euthanasia Fees $45.00 Each Per animal fee incurred with voluntary release
Transport Fees YMC 6.04.050
$100.00 Transportation fee for impounding livestock.
