422 AD VALOREM 1% CITY OF YELM RESOLUTION NO. 422 (1 % Increase) A RESOL TUION of the City ofYelm, Washington setting property tax rates for collection in 2002. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City ofYelm attests that the population of the City of Yelm is less than ten thousand; and WHEREAS. the City of Yelm has properly given notice of budget work sessions held on October 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 and November 6 and 13, and on the public hearing held on November 14, 2001 to consider the City's revenue sources for the current expense budget for the 2002 calendar year, pursuant to RCW 84.55.120; and WHEREAS, the Yelm City Council, after hearing and duly considering all relevant evidence and testimony presented, determines. that the City ofYelm requires an increase in property tax revenue from the previous year. in order to discharge the expected expenses and obligations of the City; and WHEREAS. this increase is in addition to that resulting from the addition of new construction and improvements to property and any increase in the value of state-assessed property . NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YELM, WASHINGTON Section I. An increase in the regular property tax levy, in addition to the increase resulting from annexations. new construction, improvements to property, and any increase in the value of state assessed property, is hereby authorized for the year 2001 levy. The dollar amount increase is $5.771 which is an increase of 1 % from the previous year. Approved this 14th day of November 2001.
