Mayor Harding called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Roll Call. Present: Joe Baker, Bob Isom, Mike McGowan, Pat Fetterly, John Thompson and Russ Hendrickson. Don Miller arrived after roll call. Agenda Approval MOTION BY BOB ISOM APPROVING THE AGENDA AS PRESENTED. CARRIED. Special Presentations - none Public Comment Randy Longnecker, representing J&I Power Equipment on Bald Hill Road, requested a determination on their request for outside displays. Tami Merriman responded that the proposal has been reviewed and that the City's ordinance that does not allow outdoor display or storage. She indicated that the original site plan review was for J&I Saw Shop that later became J&I Power Equipment. Ms. Merriman apologized for the delayed response to the new plan. She will contact the owners to discuss a possible solution. a. Consent Agenda Minutes Regular Meeting, July 26, 2006 and Study Session, July 27, 2006. Tami Merriman reviewed the staff report stating that construction is complete and the final plat meets all the conditions of the preliminary plat approval. MOTION BY JOE BAKER APPROVING THE FINAL PLA T FOR GOLF COURSE VIEW ESTATES, SUB-05-0257-YL. CARRIED. b. Ordinance No. 853, Amending YMC 2.04 by Changing City Council Meeting Days. Janine Schnepf reviewed the staff report regarding the meeting day change. Yelm City Council Minutes clerk/city council/2006/08-09-06 Minutes Minutes Approved: August 23, 2006 Page 1 of 2 06-65 MOTION BY JOE BAKER ADOPTING ORDINANCE 853 AMENDING YMC, CHAPTER 2.04.010 BY CHANGING REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING DAYS TO TUESDAY, AND STUDY SESSION DAYS TO WEDNESDAYS, BEGINNING IN SEPTEMBER OF 2006. CARRIED. 1 a. Mayor and Council Reports and Initiatives and Board/Commission Business a. Councilmember Baker attended Thurston County Fair. Councilmember Is om attended the Thurston County Fair. Governor Gregoire also attended and spoke about involving the youth of the County in positive ways. Councilmember McGowan attended Thurston County Home Consortium and is looking forward to Homeless Planning Board Retreat in October to gain expertise on making connections with projects to the Yelm area. Councilmember Fetterly attended the Fair and thanked Mayor Harding for hosting the city picnic. She reported on the City of Yelm exit audit as the 1 ath consecutive clean audit for the City of Yelm. Shelly Badger added that it is a comprehensive audit that includes; Court, Public Meeting Act, Bids and Projects as well as Financial controls. The published report will be available in 2 to 3 weeks. Councilmember Thompson's first meetings for Yelm Transportation Committee and Transportation Policy Board will be in September. Councilmember Hendrickson attended the Thurston County Fair. b. Mayor's Report Mayor Harding attended the Thurston County Fair and participated in a competition with other elected officials. Also participated in the exit audit conducted by the state auditors. 11.
