396 Civil Service CITY OF YELM RESOLUTION NO. 396 WHEREAS, the City ofYelm, pursuant to the Requirements of the RCW 41.12 and 41.26 did adopt Rules and Regulations Governing Operation of the Classified Civil Service System for Full Paid Employees of the City ofYelm Police Department, as Resolution No. 333 in July of 1995; and WHEREAS, RCW 41.12 further grants the legislative body the authority of exclude ITom Civil Service Rules individuals appointed as police chief after July 1, 1987, to a department with six or more commissioned officers; and WHEREAS, the Civil Service Commission recommends in the Minutes of the March 18, 1999 meeting (Motion 99-04) that the Yelm Police Chief be excluded from Civil Service classification; NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CIlY OF YELM, WASHINGTON: The Rules and Regulations Governing Operation of the Classified Civil Service System for Full Paid Employees as approved by Resolution 333 are amended by the following additions: Paragraph 1, Sentence 1 of the Introduction to the Rules The following Rules and Regulations ("Rules") Governing Operation for the Classified Civil Service System for full paid Employees and Police Officers of the City ofYelm with the exception of the police chief are adopted pursuant to the authority granted by chapters 41.12 and 41.26 RCW; and section 5, City of Yelm Ordinance Number 199, (section 2.48.060 Yelm City Code).
