CITY OF YELM
RESOLUTION NO. 395
A RESOLTUION of the City ofYelm, Washington amending Resolution No.
389 correcting an error in the dollar and percentage increase amount for property
tax collection in 2000 as set by Ordinance No. 466 and the City ofYelm
Certification to Thurston County.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City ofYelm attests that the population of the City
of Yelm is less than ten thousand; and
WHEREAS, the City ofYelm has properly given notice of the public hearing held on
November 10, 1999 to consider the City's revenue sources for the current expense budget for the
2000 calendar year, pursuant to RCW 84.55.120; and
WHEREAS, the Yelm City Council, after hearing and duly considering all relevant
evidence and testimony presented, detennines, that the City ofYelm requires an increase in
property tax revenue from the previous year, in order to discharge the expected expenses and
obligations of the City; and
WHEREAS, this increase is in addition to that resulting from the addition of new
construction and improvements to property and any increase in the value of state-assessed
property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CIlY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
YELM, WASHINGTON
Section 1.
An increase in the regular property tax levy, in addition to the increase resulting
from new construction, improvements to property and any increase in the value
of state assessed property, is hereby authorized for the year 2000 levy. The dollar
amount increase is $38_798.72 $27,620 which is an increase of 8.97% ~ from
the previous year.
