BUDGET WORK SESSION
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 27, 1998

PRESENT: Kathy Wolf, Adam Rivas, Glen Cunningham, Velma Curry,
Martha Parsons, and Don Miller. Staff: Shelly Badger, Agn0s Bennick, Ken
Garmann, Tim Peterson, Jon Yanasak, and Annette Laughlin. Guest: Tom
Skillings.
A presentation was given by Tom Skillings of the Reuse Project
Economic Analysis. After much discussion and several different
approaches applied to the analysis, it was proposed to
increase the monthly sewer cost from $26.00 to $32.50, effective
January 1, 1999.
Inflation increases applied to Sewer/Water Hook-ups/Fees were
added to the analysis.
The present Sewer fund will be rolled over to Water Reuse fund,
which will be used for 1999, operating and maintaining the
Treatment Plant and Reuse Project.

Raising the low-income/senior annual income level to qualify
more residents for discount sewer rates is being researched.
