CITY COUNCIL MINUTES
BUDGET WORK SESSION
OCTOBER 29, 1996
Mayor Wolf called the meeting to order at 4:15 p.m.
Council Present:
Martha Parsons, Velma Curry, Don Miller, and
Adam Rivas.
Absent: Amos Lawton
Staff: Shelly Badger, Hanni Lilly, Ken Garmann, and Agnes Bennick
Shelly Badger explained that each departments had been requested to
maintain 1996 level expenditures when preparing their 1997 budget.
Each department's budget would be presented as prepared and
requests would be made for staff or equipment additions.
Each department requests were reviewed.
Items not included in requests but discussed were: phone system
upgrades for the police department and court, parking lot for the
police department and temporary quarters for the public works
department.
Staff was requested to follow up on the following items:
1. Voice Mail for the mayor's phone
2. Price for C~ntrix System for Court and PD
3. Provide new; staff phone listings to Councilmembers
4. Prepare wat~r rate increase proposal

The meeting scheduled for Tuesday, November 5 was rescheduled for
4:15 p.m., Thursday, November 7.
