1. Mayor Foster called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
2. Present: Councilmember's: Tad Stillwell, Joe DePinto, EJ Curry, Tracey Wood, Russ
Hendrickson, Molly Carmody and Jennifer Littlefield.
Staff present: Public Works Director Chad Bedlington, City Administrator Michael Grayum,
Finance Director Joe Wolfe, Police Chief Todd Stancil, Court Administrator Sonia Ramirez and
Community Development Director Grant Beck.
Jacob Davis, Director of Sales for the Buxton Company gave a presentation to the Mayor and
Council on a Revitalization Program to recruit and retain businesses to Yelm.
Public Safety Presentations
Court Administrator, Sonia Ramirez presented her proposed department budget and 2017
accomplishments and goals for 2018.
Chief of Police, Todd Stancil presented his proposed department budget and goals for 2018,
along with accomplishments of 2017.
Councilmember Carmody and Mayor Foster met with Representative IT Wilcox to discuss the
traffic issues in Yelm and McKenna.
Mayor Foster added to Councilmember Carmody's report by saying that there is an upcoming
meeting with Washington State Transportation staff to discuss the completion of the bypass
and these meetings will be ongoing.
